} SafeHouse Show VI { Rooster

Fellow artist and friend, Pat Mathews, recently had to help his pal Rooster through a rough experience. Rooster is Pat's cool dog, and unfortunately Rooster suffers from a lot of health issues. The SafeHouse is putting on a benefit show to help out Rooster and Pat. I am happy to take part in the show and help out some people and pups in need. There are some amazing artists auctioning off some jaw-droppingly beautiful work. Been really busy juggling freelance, day job, and personal work lately. Here is one piece that's helped me keep so busy.

This piece was created as a website teaser for one of my all time favorite clients Chris Buecheler. He's a very talented writer and Tori is a character from one of his latest projects. I had a lot of fun with this one. You guys should most definitely check out all of Chris's novels when you get the chance. It's always wonderful as an artist when you can be excited about a project you are working on, and Chris definitely brings that inspiration in his writing.

This is the first piece I have ever sold that wasn't for a client, but strictly for myself. I was part of a silent auction recently, at a studio called SafeHouse in SF. It's the third show I have been in with this group, but this one felt like I had an actual piece to show, and not a study or something I had already created. It was a great experience and a lot of fun. Thanks guys!

EDIT: I added the second stage and third stage of the snowcone building. This was for a game called Critter Island. It has since been pulled down, because of some questionable behavior going on with the company or "companies" involved (for a full story, you should look that one up online, heh). This was right before I moved onto being lead for RavenWood Fair.

Hi. :) I won't bore you with any details, but I moved and then had to find my scanner in all the moving boxes after settling in for a bit. Needless to say, it was more of a task than I would have preferred but I did it, and I'm done. Anyone who has not only moved but moved WITH art supplies knows where I am comin' from, ammirite?!?
